J.D. Sallinger Article w/ Tfanny :)

If there was a possibility of gaining the rights to make a movie about The Catcher and the Rye we think that it would have a great impact on people because of the main character, Holden Caulfield, and his personality. He was a young boy who had been kicked out of several schools including Pency Prep because of his grades and behavior. Holden was a lonely teenager who turned to bad habits. Many people would fall in love with Sallinger's messages of compasion and detachment that he trys to convey.

  4. I've read this book before and so I have no idea how they could ever make a halfway decent movie out of it. The book was terrible. Some people might like it, but Amber and I just don't think it's right to go against a man's wishes just because he's dead and can't do anything about it now.

  5. kenzi and i think that it would be very unlikely to ever get the rights to make a movie out of "The Catcher In the Rye," and people today probably wouldn't appreciate it even if it was made into a film :)
